Meet the Cast of THE ROOMMATE, Beginning Previews Tonight on Broadway

The highly-anticipated Broadway production of THE ROOMMATE, a new musical comedy, begins previews tonight at the Lyceum Theatre.

The show, featuring a book by two-time Tony Award nominee Joshua Harmon and music and lyrics by Drama Desk Award winner Kris Kukul, tells the story of two college roommates who become entangled in a hilarious and heartwarming tale of love, friendship, and self-discovery.

The cast of THE ROOMMATE is led by two-time Tony Award nominee Leslie Odom Jr. as Josh and newcomer Kathryn Gallagher as Sarah.

Odom Jr. is best known for his Tony-winning performance as Aaron Burr in the original Broadway production of Hamilton and his Tony-nominated role as Paul in the 2018 revival of Once on This Island.

Gallagher is a rising star, who made her Broadway debut in the 2015 revival of Spring Awakening.

The cast also includes Tony Award nominee Phillipa Soo as Maria, Tony Award nominee Joshua Henry as Matt, and Drama Desk Award winner Lindsay Mendez as Trish.

Soo is best known for her Tony-nominated performance as Eliza Hamilton in the original Broadway production of Hamilton.

Henry is a two-time Tony nominee, who won a Tony Award for his performance as Aaron Burr in the 2015 revival of In the Heights.

Mendez is a three-time Tony nominee, who won a Tony Award for her performance as Carrie Pipperidge in the 2013 revival of Carousel.

THE ROOMMATE is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Zaks and choreographed by Tony Award winner Warren Carlyle.

The show is set to open officially on Broadway on November 17, 2022.
